Again a Matsumoku guitar, the low priced version of the YS serie een YS-300B, a sturdy built guitar with a
bolt on neck, all maple, body and neck.
The scratchplate over the whole lenght of the body is unusual but it looks good, also is the position of the
toggle switch unusual.
This version with that scratchplate is only featured in the1979 catalog, zo has been manufactur4ed for only
one year it seems, the later YS 300 models all have the wellknown neckthrough looks.
This was by far the worst intonated guitar i’ve ever layed my hands on, never seen it so far of as on this one
this also explains the great condition of the guitar, this guitar is practical unplayed, who want’s to play on a
guitar that’s only in tune on open strings?
Not me, i intonated him and now it’s good playing and sounding guitar in excellent condition and not only fit
for decoration anymore.
He has a few small scratches on the back but that’s all, i keep getting amazed by the overal build quality of
Matsumoku build guitars, never found a real bad one btw.
