60’ s migma hollowbody |

|
A unusual hollowbody made by Migma, the migma group was this was the biggest guitarbuilder in east germany before the wall came down, responsible for numurous brand names all starting with a M, migma, marma, musima, meinel und herold etc. This guitar is in nice playable condition, only the scratchplate is missing. It’s a rare one, would love to find a picture of one with scratchplate so i can make one for it hiding that hideous deformed F hole.
Some weird things are the height of the strings and neck to the body they are way up just like some old Egmonds had, the neck is not adjustable, 3 part, and chunky but still straight after all those years. The pu switch has 4 positions wich is unusual on a 2 pu guitar on wich are 3 positions possible, the 4th position puts it out/in of phase i think . Sounds full and dirty and feels solid, and even a nice player only the sharp frets beneath the 14th fret spoil it a little they haven’t been dressed at all. One of the funiest things i’ve ever seen on a guitar is a warning sticker near the outputjack, that reads, ACHTUNG! lebensgefahr! nicht an allstromgeräte anschliesen complete with lightningflash symbol. |
