Version 2.2
Terada western
A classy guitar this time, buid by THE factory for acoustic guitars in Japan Terada, Terada is the factory that
builds for, Gibson (Orville), builds the elitist series for Epiphone and was once responssible for the
steinberger bodys .
A builder that knows how to deliver quality, otherwise these factory’s wouldn’t picked this company, the
quality radiates of it, just for the looks, breathtaking, flawless and eye for the detail.
Solid flamed maple top and back, laminated flamed maple sides, brass nut, brass fretmarkers, brass bridge
sadle and even brass stringpins.
I suspect this guitar was made in the 80’s due to the use of that much brass, at that time this was a popular
thing to do, so the guitar has some age despite it’s nearmint and almost unplayed condition.
This makes you wonder why? Is there something wrong with it? Answer yes and no, technical nothing wrong
with it just needed a good setup, the action was way to low which caused fretbuzz and the angle the E and B
strings made over the bridge was to shallow causing unwanted sounds.
The B string still sounds a little weird, but only played open And WITHOUT a pick, using a pick it sounds
normal.
And due to the fact you normally use a pick on this kind of guitars i didn’t bothered with it any further, and
consedering the price i was asking for it why should i?
The playabilltiy is great, sound is nice and full with a sparkle, not that boomy sound martins tend to have, he
tends more to the older expensive yamaha’s.
