Gerrinez, a name used by musicstore Gerritsen from the hague vfor their asian import guitars, due to the
contraction of the name Gerritsen and Ibanez a lot of people think these guitars were made by Ibanez, this is
not the case for every Gerrinez, they do excist that’s true but this one is one from th Hoshino stable,
Hondo/Maya etc.
This guitar is not sold by Gerritsen b ut by Servaas wich took over Gerritsen if i’m not mistaken.
Thin plywood body, fake humbuckers, controlplate on top, this makes a great difference on productioncosts
compared to the traditional gibson routing.
Bought him in a very dirty condition, bridge was replaced by a tailpiece and switches were broken off.
The local electronicsshop had such switches still in stock for 1,50 a piece so no big costs on that Point, i
knew i had a fitting bridge lying around, if i didn’t had that bridge i never would have bought it a modern
wraparound bridge doesn’t fit on this guitars.
Luckely i had a few fitting studs laying around too, in gold, but the studs on the guitar were way too wide the
whole bridge was tilting on them, on this gold studs they fitted like a glove.
Playabillty is good, but the intonation, lets say i’m happy it’s still in the same note.
For the finishing touch i made a schratchplate from an old VHS box, looks way better, for me a les paul
without a scratchplate is a naked les paul.
