I have no idea of the real name of this model, it made me think of the gypsyguitars Django Reinhardt used to
play, hence the name.
There was some work on this one when ik bought it, the fretboard had come loose, so i needed to glue that
on again, 1 tuner axel was missing so after some rumiging in my parts box i found one which fitted with
matching cogwheel, the the question, what kind of strings belong on this one?
The bridge is for a nylonstring while the tuners are for a steelstring just as the way the topnut was cut, but
the neck is without trussrod so more suited for nylon strings, also there are clear plectrum marks visuable
on the body.
And becasue there were still rusted steel strings on it i chose for a 0.10 electric set using the 0.12 i use for
westerns would be tempting the gods ion such an old Egmond, they were well known to have bad necks.
Not a lot of volume but that’s mainly because it’s a thin guitar.
Amazingly enough the guitar is good playable and that’s an unusual thing for an old derilict Egmond these
guitars used to have a very bad reputation.
