Most likely chinese, this i assume becuase there is made in china stamped on the tuners, bought him in bad
condition completely spraypainted bmetallic black, and if i say completely i’m serious.

This one gave me a lot of work, wrapped the body in
cloth soaked in thinner, so i could easely remove the
black paint.
But the original finish was to dull to get it back too life
by polishing that would took ages to do.
Cleaning the neck was al hell of a job, a lot of scraping.

So i decided for a fresh new colour, luckely they didn’t removed the protective foil of the scratchplate,  that saved me a lot of work and money.
The knobs were offcourse unsaveable, these don’t clean that easy, but with a white scratchplate you have a little bit more choise in colours, so i went for seafoam green.

I’m very happy with the result, not perfect but good enough, especially regarding the time it took, picked up
the guitar friday morning and rebuilt it on sunday afternoon.
Play’s good, body is nice and heavy and no plywood, only the wood they used for the neck has a little bit too
course structure for my taste.
