A dreadnought made by the for me totallly unknown brand bird, made in korea is written on theback of the
headstock.
Bought this one in terrible condition, the fretboard was painted black, the binding was loos and the neck was
almost completely broken of at the heel that was holding me back buying it.
Now you think why the hell did you buy it??, well it was on an auction at a charity fleamarket and there was
also a small guitar what interested me ( epi peewee model).
And in that one i was interested, so i sterted bidding and i won (very cheap) and this guitar was included in
the deal.
So i got my bottle of extra strong woodglue, and repaired the neck, stripped the paint of the fretboard, that
was a hell of a job, it took a lot of oil to get the fretboard back to it’s original darkness, so extremely dry the
wood had become.
But the glued joint holds, even with the set of 0.13 strings i put on it, this is a good test for the sturdyness of
the repair.
From the inside it looks that the back is solid but from the outside no sign of it, plays good, nicely finished,
has a in height adjustable bridge, this is a thing i think they should aply on every acoustic guitar.
A thicker neck than i’m used to on steelstrings, only the tuners suck big time, i’m a big strong guy and even
i have problems turning them, that’s how heavy they work.
The sound could be better but also a lot worse, a nice campfire guitar imo.
