A collection of parts this guitar, a real hybrid, i bought this guitar as an empty shell, only tuners
bridge and tailpiece were there.
And offcourse there were holes drilled in the body to fit electronics due to traces in the paint i
managed to see what went where.
It’s clearly a eastgerman guitar, you can see this at the place where the output belongs there are
small screwholes where the typical plastic outputs was mounted.
But i tought it was a shame to wreck a babe like this for some parts, who’s value matched easely
the price i paid for this guitar.
The set of six in line schaller tuners i replaced by an 2x3 set i still had laying around a little bit
lower quality but they do their work satisfactory.
So i went to my part stash and this is the result.

Now it’s a nice and somehow  weird lady, with a 60’s teisco pu in
the bridge position and an 70’s guyatone pu in neck position. ,
The guitar is likely made in the 50’s and played a lot higher up on
the neck, this is visuable due to the wear of the paint on that
position.
But still the fretwork is in good condition, the neck (without
trussrod)is still straight, so he’s still good playable.
I’m happy i managed to get the electronics in it’s place, took some
work and a lot of swearing.
Especially when the whole unit ( scratchplate and pu’s) dediced to
slide into the guitar at a moment, placed it there in because he
kept on falling and pulling the wires that way.
Managed to get it out with a lot of patience and again the right
amount of curses but i’m happy with the result.
On the headstock there is a sticker of a Groninger musicstore who
sold this one when it was brand new (Fa JOHs.VAN EWIJCK)
I think that the guitar is completely laminated but tha’s no problem
for me.
Even the big names like gibson produce highend guitars  made of l
laminated wood.
It went for sale because for me as a collector it’s not original
Enough, but for one who doesn’t care about this it’s a nice and full
sounding guitar to ramble on.
