Godwin “de luxe” les paul
A goodlooking and unusual lp copy this godwin “de luxe”, he has a few quite different features compared to
the normal les paul clones.
At first the neckjoint, when a
neckjoint looks like this you
expect a set neck but this one
is bolt on.
I have only seen a neckjoint
like this once before, and
that was on an old framus.

Further you can’t mis the way the tailpiece is attached to thebody this
is done by using bolts which run all through.
Also the bronze nut, flat mon the body mounted scratchplate and
rollerbridge ar no standard les paul things.
And offcourse the trusrod adjustment on the body side and the way the
top is carved is als unusual.
It’s a good finished guitar, with no visuable flaws proberly made of
alder.
Godwin has truly gave his own twist to the familiar les paulmodel, play’s good and sounds very decent, it’s a
keeper for me, Godwin was a small italian builder associated with the Crucianelli company.
They stopped producing musical instruments long ago, they are best known for the organs they used to build,
and the guitar with build in organ.
This model was intended for the USA export, this is also stamped in the neckplate, can be regarder as rare
here in europe, on fetishguitars.com he’s listed on rarities.

The only problem is that the fretboard has shrunk due to lack of maintenance, you
can feel the fretwires like small speedbumps, but this is nothing al little oil won’t
fix.
Atleast in the most cases this wil work.
