Version 2.2
Kawai model EG 202 T

This time a early samick produce, i first tought it was kawai
made, but when i discovered an identical guitar on the net with
the name Arirang on the head i knew i was mistaken .
At that time samick was the only guitar factory in korea of
reasonable size.
The sticker on the back of the headstock tells that’s a EG 20 T
So it’s a Arirang for me until i hear something else.
Needed some work, adjusted the neckangle, repaired the binding
on the neck ( was missing some pieces) and i moved the bridge
Because the intonation was way of in it’s original position.
All is working nicely even the sliderswitches work perfectly they
are the most common cause for problems on guitars like these.
Now it’s a decent player again, and the pickups don’t sound that
bad either, though they are microphonic as hell also a normal
problem on guitars like these.
He differs slightly from a normal strat type guitar with his
unusual bottom, offcourse is he made of plywood also normal for
cheapo’s of that era.
This one is most likely made in the early 70’s  except the tuners
completely original, the original tuners have white plastic knobs,
and this are clearly modern tuners.
Weird enough the tuners are 6 rightside tuners, so or ment to
be used on a reversed head or a left over from 2 kits of 3+3
tuners when they used only the leftside tuners
They also work the other way around so this can be confusing.
