Version 2.2
Egmond “combo” Hamerite finish
And again another piece of dutch glory, this one has the rare blue hamerite finish, these guitars were
available in various hamerite colours during the 60’s, like silver, gold, green and blue this is the rarest colour
of the lot.
For a egmond collector a real must have, the guitar is completely original except the bridge, i think the bridge
is original too but i had to cut it down drasticly to get it playable again.
For the first time in many years i suspect.
Because the only wear you will find are the top 3 frets, beneath that it was totally unplayable.
Now is playability less important on guitars like these they mostly are wallhangers, but it’s a nice bonus.
The hamerite paint doesn’t help the playability at all, the neck feels rough and playing gets harderwith this
kind of finish .
