EKO kiwi bass |

|
This one i bought on the freemarket in Zuidhorn, is in excellent condition except some minor damages on the back and a crack in the paintjob under the pickupswitch. It’s a rare find a EKO kiwi bass, you don’t see them around often, and this one is a unusual one he has active electronics. A thing that amazed me is how to replace a defected potmeter or switch, there is no access to it due a control cavity cover, possible you need to replace it the almost the same way as on a jazzguitar, maybe through the pickup holes. Not that i need to know it right away because all is working perfect, only curious. |

He has a real EKO neck which feel you love or hate, i personally love it. This one is considerable rarer than the later models, the first models like this one were made from 71’ /73’. after these years EKO switched back to normal passive electronics, possible because they ran out of the the VOX active electronics, they still had after their collaboration with VOX in the 60’ s. |
