K. yairi western

A high quality steelstring made by K Yairi in 1974, bought it on a fleamarket for 12 euro, normally i don’t bother with acoustic guitars but i could see in one glance that this was a quality guitar.

The Yairi brand was unknown to me, it seems to be a famous japanese guitar builder and at the present day you pay almost 1000 euro for a new Yairi like this.

Needed some work, the body was in good condition but the neck was severely dented on the back, filled tohse up and smoothend it now you still can see it but not feel it and that’s the most important IMO.

The guitar sounds great high volume and sparkly tone not that bassy like a martin tends to be.

Made of quality materials, brazilian rosewood back and sides, spruce top ebony fretboard a real classy guitar.

Total costs 50 euro after replacing strings and tuners, sold this with a big profit to a friend of mine who still considered it to be a bargain.
