The Animal stratocaster

This is the one were it all started with, it started some years ago having friends who already played guitar i got bitten by the guitar bug.

I bought it at a shop in Harlingen who had a special sale on the visserijdagen, 120 guildens 1 paid for it.

Brandspanking new and i was as proud as a dog with two dicks.

These cheapo guitars had a bad rep, also because they were for sale at that time in toystores an at postalorder companies.

But i was as green as grass regarding guitars, almost a complete guitar virgin so this didn’t bothered me.

And i’ve  been lucky, later on i owned other the animal strats, some deacent, some bad  but my first guitar was better than al of these.

This was just a well build korean clone that sounded nice and played very good, guitarplaying friends were very surprised when they tried it at my place.

But when the collection grew and more interesting guitars were aquired this one wasn’t played on.

So i decided to sell it, and manafed to get more for it than i orignally bought it for.

The new owner is very happy and carefull with it, everytime i meet him he says again how happy he is with that guitar, he even uses it for studiowork.

Your first guitar, how bad he was he always has a place in your heart.

And this wasn’t even a bad one, nice solid body, maple neck and fretboard looked and sounded like the real thing.
