marathon strat model(by crafter??)

A unexpected good strat copy branded marathon, most likely made by crafter baesd on the crafter tuners and the headstock shape ( similar to those of my crafter “cruiser” tele.

This one is way better than i expected, nice piece of wood for body, has a few beauty flaws, the bottom edge of the scratchplate is not straight and there was somthing weirds with the neck, looked like a flake of wood (bark??) was on top on a spot.

I repaired this becuase you could feel it and that’s not a thing you want while playing, now with the help of some superglue and sanding paper it feels smooth again.

The guitar was in alomost unplayed condition, never been intonated, one of the first things i alway do, the tremelo is amazingly stabile almost no detuning, unusual for a cheao like

this and gives a solid impression.

The humbucker is splitable which makes this a versatile starter, it keeps amazing me how the quality of cheap guitars has improved over the years.
