hondo II les paul junior goldtop

70’s cheapo bought it in a very poor condition, painted mat black and under it traces of a do it yourself white burst( badly done).

Bridge and tailpiece were missing, but the pickup a Dimarzio made it interesting enough for 10 euro.

Hondo used these pickups a lot in the eighties, good pickups in a bad guitar.

After some preparation spraypainted this one in a goldtop look the top worked out great, i had these color laying around for years, used to own a car in this color, that’s why i’ve done this, it was cheap.

Only the trusrod cover and the topnut i had to buy the rest i had still laying around.

I like the overal result, only the back and side didn’t worked out, that great.

With the Dimarzio in the bridge the sound was unexpectingly good ,even with the plywood body.

After a good setup a easy player too, still this one i sold on.

A super cheapo, plywood body a real low quality guitar plays allright but that’s all i can say about it.

A real hondo that’s up to the bad name hondo has.

Another Hondo, this one is a little bit better qaulity, i bought it deadcheap and replaced the dimarzio’s in it for some real hondo fake humbuckers.

Plywood body, heavy as hell, plays allright a nice decoration or to try your first atempts in guitarplaying on it.
