sakai telecaster

Brandless telecaster model, most likely made by sakai i base this strictly on the used trusrodcover and tuners.

Nice chunky laminated neck, not a laminated body, bridge pu is nice and punchy, neck pu was almost dead no power left and very dull and muddy sounding.

I replaced the pu, found one which fitted in the cover, and now that pu sounds powerfull too.

The distance from neck pu to neck is quite big, doesn’t improve the looks but not troubling me, i made a scratchplate for it to fix that but i returned it back to original.

Plays nice the neck is straight, but this is almost always ok with laminated necks.

A nice touch is that the ashtray is still there, these are almost always gone.
